Focus Mode Pro — Block Distractions by Zovo
Last updated: February 12, 2026
We collect absolutely no data. Zero. None.
Focus Mode Pro helps you stay productive by blocking distracting websites during focus sessions. When you use Focus Mode Pro:
storage: Saves your blocked site list, focus session preferences, focus score statistics, and settings locally so they persist between browser sessions.
tabs: Required to detect when you navigate to a blocked site during a focus session and redirect you to the block page. Also used to manage tab behavior when blocking is active.
webNavigation: Monitors navigation events to intercept requests to blocked websites in real time during active focus sessions. This is the core mechanism that enables site blocking.
alarms: Powers the focus session timer so the extension can automatically end focus sessions after your chosen duration, even if the popup is closed.
notifications: Sends you a local browser notification when your focus session ends or when you reach focus milestones, so you know when to take a break.
Host permissions: Required to intercept and block navigation to distracting websites across all URLs. The extension needs broad host access to block any site you add to your block list. No content from these pages is read, collected, or transmitted.
Focus Mode Pro does not use any remote code. All JavaScript is bundled within the extension package. No external scripts are loaded or executed.
All data is stored locally using Chrome's storage API:
This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us.
Focus Mode Pro does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or tracking tools.
If we ever change this policy, we'll update this page with the new date.
